Feelgood Truths: Be Productive Not Busy

How easy is it to find yourself being busy all day… only to get to the end of the day and feel like you’ve done nothing productive? It’s a challenge many of us face and in this episode, Ben gives us a different approach to help us feel more fulfilled at the end of each day.

FEELGOOD TRUTHS – Being Productive, Not Just Busy

Episode #3 Transcript:

Well I dunno about you but i’m finding myself at home a lot more lately than usual. In fact, so many Australian right now are working from home.

You know the reality is that, for many of us, that even though the pace of life is in some ways slowing down, in other ways we’re also busier than ever. We can feel ourselves being stretched to the max.

And you know, one of the, I think, the interesting things about this season, or what we’re all going through right now, is we can feel like, “man, I’m going to get so much more done now that I’m at home.” But the reality is, sometimes quite the opposite – we can find ourselves getting to the end of the day, and we’ve been busy but we haven’t been productive.

You know the ability to stop, and just to identify the things in your life that really matter could be an absolute game changer. And here’s why – because if we choose to focus on the things that are most important, rather than the things that are most urgent, we will end the day feeling most fulfilled.

The reality is, there’s so many ways and things that we can get distracted with in life. Even from just a day to day point of view, we can get easily distracted by notifications and all kinds of things that are going on.

But what would change in your life, when you chose to focus on the important not just the urgent. I mean, really for all of us, like

What would our world look like?
What would your family look like?
What would your workplace look like?

When we chose to focus on the things in our life that are truly most important, rather than giving the best of ourselves to the things that are most urgent.

Summary questions
